German Gold has lubricated engines across 21 countries since the brand began in Bremen. We are the Oman branch — and we exist because Omani roads ask harder questions of an engine than European ones do.
The German Gold story
Premium, the German way.
German Gold lubricants are formulated and bottled in Bremen, the northern port city that has shipped industrial product for eight centuries. The brand earned its Mercedes-Benz official approval the way every approval is earned: by submitting samples, accepting OEM testing, and meeting specifications that make no concession for marketing.
The full lineup carries Tariff number 2710 1981 — the international classification for fully formulated motor oils. Every drum that leaves Bremen meets the same release standard whether it is destined for a German garage or an Omani fleet workshop.
Journey to Oman
TROOS Oman.
The Oman branch of German Gold is operated under the legal entity TROOS Oman, owned by Mustafa Saif Abdullah Alsaddi and based in Ruwi, Muttrah, Muscat. Stock arrives via Sohar Port, direct from Bremen.
We launched into the Omani market because the climate-specific story — engineered for the desert — is one the parent brand does not tell. Oman summers reach 45–50°C ambient. Engine bay temperatures climb past 120°C. Cheap oil thins; conventional oil breaks down faster than spec; only a synthetic engineered with that envelope in mind holds.
We carry the same product the parent ships to Europe. We tell customers what it is rated for and let the engine prove it.
Why German oil for Omani cars
The first failure mode is heat.
In Omani driving conditions — long highway runs at sustained high RPM, ambient temperatures the European engineers never tested against — the components that fail first are the ones relying on the oil's film strength: turbo seals, journal bearings, valve train surfaces.
Synthetic base oils with Group III and Group IV chemistry hold their viscosity through a wider temperature band. That is not a marketing claim. That is the test data the OEM approval requires.
